Copenhagen to Berlin – Day Sixteen

Monday September 16 – this our last day in Copenhagen and we head to Berlin later. Marnie’s caught a low level cold. I had a low level cold. Definitely couldn’t have been me. So Marnie has bit of rest this morning.

Black Diamond

I head back down to the Black Diamond. I mainly geek out on architectural stuff.

I am rejoined by Marnie, who’s had bit of a sleep in, and we go for a final walk around Copenhagen.

Berlin

Our plane was delayed so we get in later than expected at Berlin’s Brandenburg Airport. To get to our hotel required catching two separate trains, which at 10pm at night isn’t an exciting prospect. We decide to get an Uber.

This was quite a weird start to our stay in Berlin. The driver had forgotten his charger for his phone & needed to use mine. This still didn’t work. Somehow we get to our hotel fine. Being Uber, I give him 5 Stars.

Our hotel room is very nice, excitingly for some, it even has facecloths. Apparently they aren’t thing in Europe.

Walked 14.8km / 21369 steps

  1. I don’t know what the Europeans have against facecloths – we noticed the same thing. It was a real treat to get one. Between that and their square pillows?? Hope Marnie’s cold is a bit better!
