London – Day Two

Monday September 2 – the weather clouded up but as part of the bus tour we also get a river cruise. Walking down to the ferry we pass the 1800 year old Roman wall.

The river cruise turns out to be really good, and the guide was hilarious.

London Bridge – built during WW2 solely by Women, on time & on budget. Coincidence?
Tate Modern and the Millennium Bridge. The bridge wobbled so badly when it opened it had to be closed. It’s good now.

Oxford Street

We headed to Oxford Street, which had been a premier shopping street, but it doesn’t feel so much now. We head to a great cafe called Plant instead by the Ukrainian Cathedral.

To Harrod’s

Back across Hyde Park to check out Harrod’s, which was crazy busy. And then head back to the hotel.

We get back and realise that we had walked 21km and smashed 30,000 steps. Slept well.
